Songs from the Land of an Apple Tree
KOSY – intriguing female voices connected in songs from Lower Silesia Region (Poland), where their life paths crossed. They revive the songs of ancestors and bring them back to the soil of modern cities.
On stage, they combine their arrangements with traditional folk material in the companion of a variety of instruments: harmonium, hurdy-gurdy, frame drums, violin, viola, sansula and percussion instruments.
KOSY – intrygujące kobiece głosy połączone w pieśniach z regionu Dolnego Śląska, na którym zetknęły się ich życiowe drogi. Kosy przywracają pieśni naszych przodków na grunt współczesnych miast.
KOSY to 4 charyzmatyczne kobiety: Aleksandra Gronowska, Kasia Pakosa, Anastazja Sosnowska, Katarzyna Szetela-Pękosz.
Na scenie oryginalnie łączą swe aranżacje z tradycyjnym, ludowym materiałem. Robią to przy wtórze rozmaitego instrumentarium: harmonium, liry korbowej, bębnów obręczowych, skrzypiec, altówki, sansuli i różnych instrumentów perkusyjnych.

The Sowing
SIEW (the Sowing) is a premiere album of the KOSY Band. KOSY recorded their interpretation of songs from the Lower Silesia Region in Poland.
Remarkable songs, know that they were brought to these lands by repatriates in the first half of the 20th century.
KOSY gathered material in their musical meetings with beautifull Women – traditional singers of Lower Silesia as Michalina, Stanisława Latawiec Mrozik or Traditional Songs Essemble from Sokołowiec.
